The Retreat
The Retreat is a Non-profit that was set up to help all those struggling regardless of where they are at in their recovery process. Much of the funding to create this wonderful place is through donations as this is all about giving back to help those in need.
We accept donations big or small as every little bit helps and we can provide letters for donors for these generous funds to be tax write offs.
Current Offerings
Customized mentoring services created for those in need of help as they suffer with an eating disorder or disordered eating.
These services are currently offered online or in-person for those who live in/near Denver and surrounding areas.

With just over an acre in the heart of the Colorado Rockies, we are creating a mountain retreat for people to come and recover in solitude.
Here we believe in creating toolkits each person can incorporate into their every day lives to help minimize their triggers when integrated back into society. Each person will have their own private eco-cabin so they can focus on what they need for optimum recovery.
As society is a huge aspect of life, Bear Moose Hideaway Retreat is dedicated for those who are in recovery programs and can be around like-minded people who are taking advantage of The Resort side of Bear Moose Hideaway.
It is in this safe, controlled environment we can establish proper boundaries while helping each person manage their recovery and set them up for success when they return to their life after recovery.
Future Retreat Layout & Funding
Our plan is to build upto 8 Eco-Structure Cabins, a recovery center, a gym, and a business center to make this a full functioning facility that will provide a place to focus on self-care so each person will have the resources they need to design routines and a lifestyle they want post recovery.
Each cabin will be set up like an apartment that will house 1-2 people completely surrounded by nature to offer privacy but be amongst a community of others who also are sharing in the same struggles.
We are estimating this will cost $1,250,000 to complete the overall build out with 8 eco-cabins; however as we do not want to delay getting those help whom need it, our plan is to start with 4 eco cabins and grow from there.
We purchased the land in 2021, and in June 2024, we plan to have the business center underway.

In this resort like setting, individuals will have their own private lodge, access to the spa gym, guiding adventures, and tools to help them discover their passions and positive outlets.
Certain standards of living will be enforced and upheld to get everyone into the day-to-day habits of a traditional lifestyle so when an individual is ready to move out on their own, they will have all the tool for success.
